About Nashville UTR Open at Ensworth School
Ensworth School welcomes you! Entry Deadline Sunday May 13th.
This event is for all players with UTRs - all levels, ages, and genders. Draws are based on UTR levels, not age or gender. Communication to tournament director should be emailed directly to email@example.com -- not messaged through this site.
TOURNAMENT WILL BE PLAYED RAIN OR SHINE USING 6 INDOOR COURTS AND 6 OUTDOOR COURTS. PLAY WILL BEGIN FRIDAY MORNING AT 9AM, SATURDAY AT NOON, AND FINISH SUNDAY.
We will use PLAYSIGHT technology to record all matches indoors. The indoor matches will be live streamed through www.PlaySight.com, Click Live at top and scroll to Ensworth School. Players with the PlaySight app will be able to record their matches using their portable device. Pizza will be offered Friday and Saturday12-2pm to all players. Each participant will also receive an Ensworth UTR Tournament gift.
Players will receive Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) credit for all matches played.
Seeding is based on player UTRs. Flights will be determined by UTR's and the goal of the Tournament Director is for players to be Flighted within 1.50 of other player's UTRs.
THIS EVENT INCLUDES BOTH SINGLES AND DOUBLES. SINGLES PLAYERS ARE GUARANTEED 2 MATCHES WITH FMLC AND DOUBLES IS SINGLE ELIMINATION.
BOTH SINGLES AND DOUBLES ARE 2 OUT OF 3 SETS, NO-AD SCORING WITH SUPER-BREAKER IN PLACE OF 3RD SET.
Indoor courts have digital scoreboards and a large video master scoreboard. Table Tennis, Locker rooms, showers, and comfortable lounge areas are available for all players. We have covered parking. There is excellent viewing above and behind the baselines on both indoor and outdoor courts.
There are no refunds except when a player's level can not be placed in an appropriate level based draw.
DOUBLES ENTRY IS $20 PER PLAYER
Deadline is Sunday May 13th at 11:59pm
With UTR Events there is no need to shop for tournaments, strong draw, weak draw, points per round considerations, etc. There is no rationale in waiting to sign up and find out who else may decide to play. Your placement in a level-based draw will be based on your UTR. You will get a set number of matches in a draw that will increase the likelihood that you have matches both good for your development and good for your opportunity to improve your UTR. In the event that there are not enough players within a near enough UTR range for this to be possible, then the Tournament Director will not place you in a draw that isn’t good for you and your fees will be refunded. We look forward to watching your great matches!
