2018 USTA All-American College Combine presented by adidas Event Guide

The 2018 USTA All-American College Combine presented by adidas from June 18-21 is an opportunity for American junior boys & girls of all levels who have the goal of playing college tennis in mind. It will allow them to showcase their athleticism & tennis skills for college coaches from all over the country and all levels. Winners receive a Wild Card into the Main Draw of a Pro Circuit Tournament, and results will be sent to coaches.

-USTA members with high school graduation years 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 (2022 may be permitted to register as well).
-Maximum 64 Boys and 64 Girls accepted.

-Registration: $349 per participant.

-BirdsEyeSports has the ability to provide players with video packages to assist in their recruitment. These include videos of their matches, ground-level footage, interviews and skill sessions. They will be available a short time after the event.
-Cost: $250 per participant when registering online, or $350 on-site.

-Singles - players will be placed into eight eight-player pods based on UTR. Players will then be assigned to a four-player group. Each player competes against the three other players in their group. Group winners (and runners up in the A and B groups) advance to a level-based bracket shootout.
-Singles matches are best of three sets, with a 10-point breaker for a third set. No-ad scoring, do not play lets.
-Bracket shootout matches are one set, first to four games with a tiebreaker at 3-3. Tiebreaker to be played to five, win by two. No-ad scoring, do not play lets.
-Doubles matches will be available on June 20 and June 21, if time and weather permits.
-Doubles scores will also be recorded and count toward UTR. Matches will be one six-game set. No-ad scoring, do not play lets.
-If players are interested in doubles, please indicate this on the registration page.
-Players are asked to work with the Tournament Administration desk to assist in setting up doubles matches starting on June 20, but it's preferred that you email in advance.

SCHOOLS ATTENDING - Click News Section at upper right of page (List will be updated periodically).

-adidas representatives will be on hand throughout the Combine. There will be an adiplayer Lounge with the adidas Makers Lab and much more.
-A shirt will be provided to wear during Fitness Tests June 18. Players will wear their own shirts for match play.
-Number bibs will be provided to wear throughout the Combine (to be placed on the back of your shirts).

-During the event, always check your phone and email inbox for communications from the USTA if there are updates.
-If you feel that you are not getting updates, please email to verify that your information is on file.

-The USTA will provide Athletic Medicine personnel throughout the event. It is recommended from the staff that players arrive ready to perform at their maximum potential both on and off the court.

-From June 5-11, refunds will be offered for 50% of the registration rate. After June 11, no refunds will be offered.

-Players will have the honor of hearing from three of the leading voices in tennis: former top-20 player in the world Leslie Allen, performance physiologist Dr. Mark Kovacs and racquet “stringer to the stars” Roman Prokes.
-Dr. Kovacs offers up his 7 Tips to Stand Out at the College Combine.

-Hard courts (Clay courts and/or indoor courts may be used depending on weather).

-Players will receive Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) credit for all matches played. Player UTRs are available at

-Sign the USTA National Campus waiver.

-Players receive five minutes of warm-up time before each match.
-For hitting partners, please check-in at the TA Desk.
-Extra warm-up courts will be available.
-For players arriving early and want to hit on June 17, please visit to book a court.

-Expect to experience afternoon temps in the high 80s and low 90s during Florida summers.
-Inclement weather may force the schedule and format to be adjusted, and matches could be moved to clay courts or indoors.
-If the schedule and format changes, matches may be shortened sets, no-AD scoring.

-The boys and girls winner of the Tournament Shootout will receive a wild card into the main draw of a 2018 USTA Pro Circuit $15K tournament.
