Players will receive Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) credit for all matches played.
Southern standings will be used when selecting players for the Tournament and/or Division/Draw.
Teams will be made using Waterfall Method on December 7, 2017
The top 6 players in each age group from ach state – Mississippi and Louisiana.
We will have 4 wildcards in each division to the highest southern standings on the alternate list from the most recent Southern standings.
To utilize player’s younger age groups, we will apply the following method to place a player looking to play up a division in the age group registered for tournament.
10’s x 5 = 12’s standing
12 x 4 = 14’s standing
14 x 3 = 16’s standing
A coach will be assigned to each team who will serve as their on court coach, warm-up facilitator and team leader. There will be no opportunity for outside coaching from other coaches and parents. Assigned coaches may coach on changeovers only.
Each team will consist of 6 girls and 6 boys - two players from each age group. We will mix Louisiana and Mississippi players with the goal of even teams using the Waterfall method.
Medals will be givin to 1st and 2nd place teams.
All singles matches shall be 2 tie break sets with a 10 point tie breaker in lieu of a 3rd set.
Doubles matches shall be 6 game sets with 7 point tie breaker at 6-all.
Each team shall play each player in the waterfall spot they were placed. There will be no lineup changes. We will make every effort to fill a spot from last minute sickness or injury.
The two players from each division will be paired into doubles teams and shall compete against the players in their division.
Each team match will consist of 6 doubles (3 boy and 3 girl) and 12 singles. Each team will receive 1 point for every singles match win. The team winning the majority of doubles in each gender will receive 1 point. There are 2 possible points per team in doubles – 1 boy and 1 girl.
2:00-5:00pm – Check in at Duncan Park at 57 Duncan Park Road / Natchez, MS 39120
3:30-5:00pm – Team warm-up and practice
5:30pm – DOUBLES Round 1 at your site
6:30pm – DOUBLES Round 2 at your site
7:30-9:00pm – Welcome Party and Parents & Player Meeting. Dinner will be available for players and parents. As soon as tam matches are over everyone will meet at Duncan Park. If rain, meeting and dinner will be held at the Visitor’s Center at 640 S Canal Street / Natchez, MS 39120 at 7:30pm.

Rain: Handle rain situations with site phones or assigned team coaches.
Henry Harris is the tournament referee. Each coach is on the tournament staff as a court monitor. If a problem arises during a match, each tam coach will consult. If not resolved, contact Henry Harris (referee) or John Wahlborg (tournament director).
Each player will be committed to adhering to the schedule. To ensure the total experience for each player parents are encouraged to get lunch for players so that players don’t have to leave and they can cheer for their team.
